Academic Biography

Dr. Meadows’ clinical work is based primarily in the pediatric cardiac catheterization laboratory and on the clinical cardiology service on the cardiac intensive care and acute care wards. In the catheterization laboratory, Dr. Meadows performs numerous diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac catheterizations. He attends on the pediatric cardiology service for several weeks throughout the year and runs a weekly outpatient clinic located at the UCSF Parnassus Campus.

Dr. Meadows’ research interests focus on techniques and clinical outcomes in pediatric interventional cardiology, as well as quantitative physiologic assessment of ventricular and vascular function, particularly in the patients with complex single ventricle anatomy. Dr. Meadows’ interests also include the evaluation and optimization of pulmonary vascular function in patients with passive pulmonary blood flow.
