Children's Cancer and Blood Disease Program

The Children’s Cancer and Blood Disease Program of the UCSF School of Medicine is an international leader in the treatment and research of pediatric cancers and hematologic disorders. We are home to the UCSF's Brain Tumor Center and the regional pediatric Hemophilia Treatment Center, and we are part of one of the nation’s ten comprehensive Sickle Cell Centers.

Clinical Research Training

Clinical Programs

A team of highly skilled compassionate physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers and adjunct staff assist in the coordinated care of children with cancer and blood diseases.

Research

The Children’s Cancer and Blood Disease program is engaged in groundbreaking research in childhood leukemias, brain tumors, neuroblastomas, sarcomas, hemophilia, thalassemia and sickle cell disease.

Training

We sponsor a highly regarded, ACGME-certified, three-year fellowship program, which trains the next generation of outstanding pediatric oncologists and hematologists.
