
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCLA in 1988 and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of California at Berkeley in 1995. She has been serving children and families at UCSF Children’s Hospital since 1999, working in the areas of kidney and gastrointestinal diseases. Prior to working at UCSF, Caroline worked in the field of adult mental health as a psychiatric social worker at San Francisco General Hospital. She joined the pediatric Rehabilitation team in January 2007. Her role on the rehabilitation team is to provide psychosocial assessments of children and families, to provide emotional and practical support to families related to acute and chronic illness, and to liaison between families, the medical team and the community.
